About Me
My name is Collin Maclang! I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, but grew up in Dayton, Ohio. I'm half Filipino and love videography and photography and inspired to work in the sports production world.
I grew up playing basketball and baseball and then transitioned to playing tennis. I was first singles in tennis my senior year of High School. I also grew up snowboarding and love going down the slopes in Park City, Utah. My love for sports and having manning a camera became fused into one as camera operating live sporting events became a very meaningful duty of mine. I strive to capture live sporting events through my different lenses in many different perspectives to where the director and the action replayer are satisfied with my creativity and art. However, I don't just strive to give the director and action replayer satisfaction as I also strive, as a freelancer, to give my clientele a satisfiable photo and/or videoshoot session. With a unique world full of beauty and life, I strive to capture an authentic perspective with each photo and video I create. Whether if it's a photoshoot, video shoot, or a live event, you will get a surreal and immersive experience through which I create memories through the lenses I use.
Miami Valley Communications Council
My journey started with the Miami Valley Communications Council! Based in Centerville, Ohio, I helped broadcast live High School Football and Basketball events. This internship was obtained through my High School career as I directed, camera operated, live-replayed, and color commentated many High School Football and Basketball games!
ESPN+
My journey then transitioned to working with ESPN+ for the University of Dayton student crew. This opportunity was obtained from a High School teacher of mine, as I camera operate many live college basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer events for UD Athletics. Even though basketball is all in-house, I put a smile on peoples' faces by putting them on the Jumbotron. I have also covered many graduations over at UD Arena camera operating many High Schools graduations and the University of Dayton graduation itself!
Dayton Dragons
I eventually found my way working with the Dayton Dragons Baseball Team. I obtained this opportunity through my coworkers from ESPN+ as I camera operate live Dayton Dragons Baseball events, getting fans up on the video board!
The Sports Utility Vehicle, SUVTV
I have worked with The Sports Utility Vehicle TV, camera operating the close-ups of the 2024 and 2025 Flyin' To The Hoop High School Basketball Tournament held at Trent Arena in Kettering, Ohio.
